Grindleford Parish Council

Grindleford Parish Council

The Parish Council meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month in the Bishop Pavilion at 7.30pm. The nine elected members of the Parish Council are to act as the “eyes, ears and voice” of the village, reporting to the relevant authorities who are responsible for providing services, commenting on planning applications from the Peak District National Park Authority, supporting local clubs, societies and organisations and providing a small amount of grant aid.

The Council led the initiative of the Village Plan and maintains the War Memorial and Jubilee Garden and also provides bus shelters, litter, salt and dog bins. It funds the expenses of the Neighbourhood Watch Group and the provision of the Grindleford News.
