Rememberance Sunday Beacon

Dear All,
On Remembrance Sunday 11th November at 7.00pm, we will be lighting a beacon on Jubilee Hill in conjunction with the National Trust at Longshaw as part of the National Chain of over 1000 beacons in remembrance of the end of World War 1.
Members of the public are welcome to attend, but please bear in mind the ruggedness of the beacon site and dress accordingly!
Car parking will be availble at the NT Haywood car park from where it is a shorter walk to Jubilee.
If anyone would like walk up the wood to Jubilee from the village, I would suggest meeting in the Bishop Pavilion car park at 6pm and going en masse – please bring your own torches.
It would be helpful if you could inform me in advance if you plan to walk up so that National Trust staff will know that you are on the way.
Please contact me if you require any further information.
Feel free to pass on this message if you wish.

Kind regards,
