Yoga promotes health and brings both vitality and calm by building strength, flexibility, balance and self-awareness. You work to your own capacity to align, balance and stretch your limbs. Regular practice can help guard against injury and alleviates aches and pains. It also boosts performance in a range of sports as you develop great ranges of movement and body awareness.
This course is an introduction to Iyengar yoga. It is suitable if you are a beginner or are returning to yoga after a break and want to familiarize yourself with the basic principles again. You will be introduced to some simple postures and learn how to work in them safely. Postures can be adapted to suit all levels of fitness and stiffness.
